Your Card Control experience has been upgraded!

You now have more control of your Legend Bank debit cards like activating your new debit card, setting up travel plans, resetting your PIN and more. You are no longer required to have an additional app on your phone as the new, improved Card Control is in your Legend Bank online banking and mobile app account.

Just log into the Legend Bank app and click Services - Card Control to get started using the new features! If you haven't updated your Legend Bank app recently, please update your app to access the new Card Control features. Please make sure you are using the most up-to-date browser and device operating system to access our online banking and app. Click here to learn more. You can delete the separate "Legend Bank Card Control" app from your device as well.

Benefits of Using Card Control

  • Access Card Control in the Legend Bank Mobile App: You no longer need a separate Card Control app. You can now access all Card Control features directly in the Legend Bank Mobile app under Services - Card Control.
  • Easily Add Your Card to Your Digital Wallet: You can easily add your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay from Card Control for seamless purchases.
  • View Transactions with Details: Get a clear picture of your spending each month by seeing what, when, and where you made purchases. Easily review each transaction with merchant logos, and even view them on a map to pinpoint the exact location of your spending.
  • Enhanced Fraud Protection: Help reduce fraud with new features like setting and resetting your card PIN, receiving push notifications with location info, and reviewing subscriptions with automatic payments.
  • Additional Functionality:
    • You can now enter your travel locations and timeframes so that you know your debit card will work without even calling the bank. You can set up to 14 days of travel at one time and you can renew the timeframe if you are traveling for a longer period of time. 
    • You can also report lost or stolen cards, review spending insights, and activate your card.

Why do I need to update my Legend Bank app?
  • To access the new Card Control experience—now fully built into our mobile banking app—you’ll need to install the latest update. Without it, card management and other new Card Control features won’t be available. Updating now ensures everything continues to work smoothly, securely, and all in one place.
The updated app has browser and operating system requirements. Why do I need to update to the latest versions before upgrading to the latest version of your app?
  • Updating ensures your system has the latest security, performance, and compatibility enhancements. Our new app version is designed to work with the most recent standards, and older browsers or operating systems might not support key features, and security requirements. Click here to view the browser and operating system requirements. 
Is it really necessary to upgrade my browser or operating system?
  • If your operating system or browser is several versions behind, it might not meet the technical and security requirements of modern apps and browsers. Upgrading helps ensure compatibility and unlocks performance improvements, and stronger protection against malware and exploits.
Can’t you just make the app work with older systems?
  • We wish it were that simple, older systems often lack the performance, security, and compatibility needed to support the latest app features. Over time, technology evolves, and newer versions are optimized to work with updated browsers, operating systems, and devices. Using outdated systems may expose users to risks and limit the overall experience.
Do I still need the separate “Legend Bank Card Control” app?
  • No, you can remove it from your device. All card management features are now built directly into the Legend Bank app for a smoother, easier and more secure experience for you.
I see the "Add to Apple Pay" or "Add to Google Pay" message in Card Control but I already have my Legend Bank card in my digital wallet. Do I need to set it up again?
  • If you’re seeing the “Add to Apple Pay” or “Add to Google Pay” message in Card Control, but you’ve already added your Legend Bank card to your digital wallet, no need to worry — you typically don’t need to set it up again.
  • We recommend opening your Digital Wallet to double-check that your Legend Bank card is saved there. If it is, your card is ready to go and fully compatible with Card Control’s new features and as well as your online and app purchases.
  • If you don’t see your card in your wallet, you can easily add it through Card Control or through your digital wallet. 
Why am I getting a “Device Limit Reached” message when adding my Legend Bank debit card through Card Control?
  • If you receive a “Device Limit Reached” message while trying to add your Legend Bank card through Card Control, don’t worry — this usually means your card is already set up in your Apple or Google Wallet. 
  • This message won’t affect your ability to use Card Control or your Apple or Google Wallet. Your card remains fully functional in both places. We recommend checking your digital wallet to confirm your Legend Bank card is listed.
  • For the smoothest experience with online and app purchases, be sure to set your Legend Bank card as the default card in your digital wallet. 
What does the "Cards - To use this device for locations controls and alerts, it must be your primary device" mean? 
  • This message means that in order to enable location-based features in Card Control — like transaction alerts or spending restrictions based on your device’s location — you’ll need to set this device as your primary device.
  • By selecting "Yes," you’re making this device the main one connected to your Legend Bank card, which allows you to use the full suite of features, including location controls and alerts.
How do I pay with my Legend Bank card in my digital wallet if I don't see it listed as an option in my apps?
  • Each app is a little different, but when you choose “Add Funds” or make a purchase, look for the option to pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay. When that screen appears, you should be able to select your Legend Bank card.
  • If your card doesn’t automatically show up, simply click “Change Payment Method” or a similar option, then choose your Legend Bank debit card. This ensures your purchases are made with your Legend Bank card, which help you earn Legend Bank Rewards points — getting you closer to gift cards, merchandise, and more.
  • You might have to enter your card number, expiration date and CVV code. If you don't have your card handy to do this, you can get this information from "View Digital Card" in Card Control. Here's a quick video on how to view your digital card in Card Control.

      Track what, when, and where you spend each month. This feature gives you a clear view of your spending habits to help with budgeting or simply staying informed.
    • View Recurring Payments
      Want to see which subscriptions are connected to your card? Tap "Card on File" and select "Recurring Payments" to view and manage recurring charges with ease.
    • Set Controls & Alerts
      Customize alerts and spending limits by location, transaction type, merchant category (like groceries, entertainment, or dining), and more — putting you in full control.
    • Manage Travel Plans
      Heading out of town? You can enter your travel dates (up to 14 days at a time) directly in the app without having to call the bank.
    • Report a Lost or Stolen Card
      Misplaced your card? No stress — you can report it and temporarily turn it off, all within Card Control.
    • View Your Digital Card
      Need to make a purchase but don’t have your physical card? No problem — you can securely view your card number in the app if the merchant doesn’t accept Apple Pay or Google Pay.
